On a Sunday morning in 2019, as we were preparing for breakfast, my daughter was eager to whip up her usual farm fresh eggs for the family, but saw no cartons available in the refrigerator.

I thought we’d be able to hold out, what’s 3 more days? But our usage of fresh eggs to eat was too much. From baking, to soups, to breakfast! We love our fresh eggs from the local farms

For our family, eggs are the staple of our country, weekend breakfast. So I thought, fine! I’ll grab some eggs somewhere next door real quick. Afterall - how hard could it be to find farm fresh eggs near me? It also hit me the irony in this equation…this little mandarin farm in placer county, seeking local chicken eggs!?

And to that point how hard was this going to be to seek a farm in placer county, the mecca of farming communities? I was thinking finding someone with fresh eggs would be a walk in the park! It wasn’t that easy, at least not at this time, with winter approaching. After 1 hour, I still had no luck locating a local farm with fresh eggs near me.
